Kia GT4 Stinger concept Video Transcript
Okay, quick. What does Kia do? Right. You didn't think sports cars, did you? But they say, at least they did one. It might look like this. It's one of those traveling concepts called the Kia GT4 Stinger. Front engine, rear drive, two plus two, compact package. They're envisioning it having a 2-liter turbo for doing 315 horsepower. It's a nice number with a small motor in a small package. And as I mentioned, rear wheel drive only. If you're playing along in the home game, you realize, wait a minute, that sounds that they could take a Hyundai Genesis Coupe's guts. Shorten it all, tweak it a little bit, and put that in here, perhaps. And that certainly keeps the platform investment low, which keeps the cost low. That's part of their magic. Now, if the styling of it looks rather Audi, that's not a surprise either. Peter Schreyer used to be Audi's design boss. Now on the go, now he's Kia's design boss. That face has got a lot of Audi DNA in it. And that by the way is a high compliment. None of this is coming to market anytime soon. They're saying this is a maybe, what if, sort a, could a, but it's pretty tantalizing.
