>> Hi I'm Kevin Massy for CNET.com live at CES 2008 at our CNET Car Tech testing lab. We're taking a First Look at the Kenwood DNX-7100; now this is an all-in-one GPS and multimedia device for your car's dashboard. The headlight feature in this device is Garmin provided GPS navigation interface. It's one of the most easy to use GPS navigation systems in the aftermarket that I've found. People who have a Garmin Portable Navigation Device will recognize the design and the layout of the menu structure. It's very easy to use and I think Kenwood has done a good job of integrating it into this device. Another thing that we like about this device is that the maps for the GPS navigation data are stored on SD cards, so there's no messing around with DVD rom. Anytime you need to update your mapping data you can just download it from the web and plug the SD card back into the chassis and you're ready to go. Aside from it's GPS navigation capabilities this thing can play DVD video, DVX format video and for audio you get the standard redbook CD's of course; you can play MP3 discs, WMA discs, and it also comes with a standard USB port in the back which allows you to play digital audio files from thumb drives; or for an extra 30 bucks you can splash out on a dedicated iPod cable. This system has optional inputs for add-on blue tooth modules and satellite radioed from cirrus or XM. This system is on sale now and it retails for a price of around $1300. I'm Kevin Massey and that's your First Look at the Kenwood DNX-7100. ^M00:01:53 [ Music ] ^M00:01:58
