>> Hi, I'm Kevin Massey from CNET.com, live at CES 2008 at the CNET Car Tech testing lab in the north hall. And we're taking a first look at the Jensen VM9022HDN. Now that's a big mouthful, and there's a reason it's a big mouthful. This is an in-dash multimedia navigation system with all kinds of [inaudible] standard capabilities. To start with, this is primarily a GPS navigation system. It's preloaded with Tele Atlas maps, it's got a very bright six and a half inch touch screen display for entering destinations. Out of the box it comes with what Jensen calls Smart, which is Smart mapping around route traffic. And that's information built into the mapping data that will suggest alternative routes around high traffic areas. As well as its navigation functionality, this device can be used to play all kinds of audio and video media. One thing that we really like about this, the, this system is the way that you can get more than one function showing up on the screen at once. So if you've got video playing you can press this PIP button, which is picture in picture. And that will show you the navigation system at the same time in a small window on the video display. It also comes as standard out of the box, able to play music from iPods. Additionally the HD in the, in the VM9022HDN's name stands for hybrid digital, which is HD radio. This system comes out of the box ready to pick up HD radio, it has a built in HD radio tuner. Big story of in-car entertainment in LA, we think we're gonna see a lot more HD radio. In addition to all that, this, this thing can be also used as a Bluetooth hands-free calling device, also a standard feature. My phone is paired to it now, I can, I can use it to make calls, to view my call history, even to access my cell phone's phone book on the screen here, and make calls without using my cell phone handset. All this is available in one device, the Jensen VM9022HDN. It's gonna be on sale at the beginning of March for a price of around nine hundred to a thousand dollars.
