>> Hello. I'm associate editor Nicole Lee for CNET.com and this is a first look at the Jabra Halo. It's a brand new stereo bluetooth headset. It's a very nice slim profile as you can see here, it's slim all the way around from both ear pads as well as the headband right here. It has black foam padding all around, and it can also be folded into a more compact form factor. There are 2 hinges on either side here, so you can just snap them inward. And as you can see it's a more compact form factor already. When you fold it in that turns the headset off. When you fold it out and snap it back into place, you turn the headset back on. On the under side of the headset here are 2 LED indicators that indicate the battery life, as well as the bluetooth status connection. On the outer part of the right ear pad are the multifunction button, as well as a touch sensor volume control. We didn't like the touch sensor volume control because we thought it was very difficult to fine tune the right volume level, and we found that we would adjust the volume accidentally when we didn't want to. One of our biggest disappointments with the Jabra Halo is the fit. The angle of the ear pads are just a little bit off, so it just doesn't sit right on our ears. It also doesn't feel very secure when we wear it. Sound quality on the Jabra Halo was OK for music audio playback. There was a very light bass, but it was OK for most music. The biggest downfall though was the call quality. This Halo promises dual microphone noise cancelling, but when we tried it on like a busy city sidewalk, it just did not hold up to it's promises. Callers could hear a lot of background noise, and call quality just in general wasn't that great. When we tried it in a quiet conference room, it was OK. But for just noise cancelling in a very loud environment, it just didn't work. The Jabra Halo is overall a very attractive and slim and compace stereo bluetooth headset, but we just were not pleased with the fit as well as the performance. I'm Nicole Lee. This has been a first look at the Jabra Halo. ^m00:02:07 [ Music ]

Jabra Halo Review
The good: The Jabra Halo has a slim and stylish design that folds down to a more compact and portable shape. It comes with a 3.5-millimeter patch cord in case your device does not have stereo Bluetooth.
The bad: The Jabra Halo fits awkwardly over the ears and does not feel like it is securely in place. Call quality suffered when in a noisy environment, and we did not like the touch-sensitive volume controls.
The bottom line: The Jabra Halo is an attractive stereo Bluetooth headset, but that's about all we can say for it.
