iTunes 7.6 Video Transcript

Hi I'm Jason Parker from Download.com and this is a First Look at iTunes. Apple iTunes needs little in the way of introduction for Mac users because it's the default music player when you buy a new Mac. The iTunes interface is incredibly easy to navigate, letting you choose types of content on the left, and your available music and media files on the right. The searchbox makes finding the right song a snap. Once you add music to your library from CDs or the iTunes Store, it's easy to sort files using a number of different criteria. To make a new playlist, simply click in the navigation area and press Command-N. From there you can drag and drop songs to the playlist and reorder them for the best mix. iTunes comes equiped with an equalizer so you can adjust the levels of songs. If you want a less complicated approach to adjusting the levels by musical genre, go to view options, click the box next to "equalizer", and click OK. Now you can adjust individual songs based on several preset configurations. If you want to get some new content, click on the iTunes Store in the navigation area on the left to browse through thousands of artists, podcasts, videos, and more. You'll need an account with Apple to purchase new media. Overall, we think iTunes is the best available media player for Mac and with its integration with iPods and the iPhone, its a valuable resource for anyone using Apple products. I'm Jason Parker from Download.com, and this has been a First Look at iTunes for Mac. Thanks for watching.
