>> Hi I'm Jasmine France, associate editor for CNET.com. And I'm here today with the iRiver X20. Now this player isn't officially available in the United States, but I managed to get my hands on one, and you can too. Just go read our review and you'll find out how. I really like this player, so I'm actually gonna start out with a couple of the things that I don't like that much. The first one is that it's, it's kind of got a cheapish plastic construction, which is unlike most iRiver devices I've come across lately. It's not so bad, it, it looks pretty nice. It's quite big for a Flash player, not really super pocket friendly, and considering it only has four gigabytes, you know, you might be giving up that portability for the wealth of features the player has. My other kind of minor complaint is that there's a scroll ring here, and it lights up which is kind of nice, but it's really, really thin, and you kind of have to catch on one of the raised bumps to get it to activate. That's pretty much my only complaints with the device. This player is packed with features. It's got pretty much everything you can think of. It does video playback, audio playback, it will support purchased music, but not subscription music, in WMA format. Supports [inaudible], it does voice recording, line in recording, over here you have the line in jack. It has a user removable battery, and it even has two external speakers on the back here so you can share your music. That's a nice touch I think built right in. It's very easy to use. It actually has the same kind of interface as the Insignia MP3 player and image viewer. If you check out that player you'll, you'll notice it's quite similar. This one's a little more refined. I'm guessing that they worked with Best Buy on the interface. There's also a great FM tuner on this device, it's actually one of the better ones I've come across. The FM radio quality's quite good, it has great reception, all that. You get the hold switch on the top. [ background music ] And excellent sound quality, as is on par with iRiver devices. It's also even priced pretty competitively. You can find the four gigabyte version for about a hundred and sixty online, which is on par for other players with these features.
