>> Hi, I'm Tom Merritt from CNET.com at CES 2009 taking a look at the iRiver E50. This is a little portable music player, comes in 2-Gig and 4-Gig flavors. It's got -- you may be familiar with the iRiver flat keys here that you're pressing on. I prefer the buttons myself, but a lot of people like the sleek design and they work pretty well. They actually depress a little, so you know you're pushing a button. Plays music, MP3s and AACs. Also will play videos, MP4s and you can put some pictures on here, as you might expect. Also does recording, so you can buy a mike, plug it into the standard headphone jack and do some recording on it as well. IRiver claims 52 hours of battery life, which would give you a lot of time to listen to your tunes. They also wanted to show off this speaker that's sold separately that you can attach it to, play your music out that way. Don't have price and availability yet, but they're hoping that it will be out sometime this year. Once again it's the iRiver E50. At CES 2009, I'm Tom Merritt. ^M00:01:02 [ Music ]
