Ep. 963: Gambling in your jammies

We're not sure that Barney Frank gambles in his pajamas but he's fighting for your right to do so in the United States. Also Verizon gets a little slutty, looking for an iPhone, and Android phone, and pretty much anything else. Also Blu-ray is on the rise, but so are digital downloads.

Ep. 84: iPhone 3G S review

It wouldn't be a week in cell phone land if the Dialed In crew didn't have a lot to talk about. And since it's been two weeks since our last show, you can bet that this episode is chock full of cell phone news and reviews. Leading off is the CNET review of the iPhone 3GS. We're still getting through the lab tests, but we've combed through the new features in depth. Meanwhile, Bonnie enthralls us with a long list of major smartphone news including Flash Player 10 beta and T-Mobile's second Google Android phone. And elsewhere in the podcast, Bonnie sighs, Kent sings, and Nicole laughs at them both.

Loaded: Flash for the iPhone

Adobe develops Flash for the iPhone, the 700 Mhz spectrum closes, editing Google Maps, and an in-depth look at the Iraqi war.

Ep. 101: Verizon launches Droid attack

The Droid is coming! The Droid is coming! In case you haven't heard, Verizon's first Google Android phone is on the way and the carrier isn't holding anything back, taking some not-so-subtle swipes at the beloved iPhone. We're not going to lie; it's pretty fun to watch. Also on this week's episode, we take a look at the new BlackBerry Bold 9700 and some new senior- and wallet-friendly cell phones from Consumer Cellular.

The 404 421: Where Palm sprinkles Pixi dust on the new Apple iPods

If you thought the Palm Pre had a lame name, then consider the company's newest fumble: the Palm Pixi. Can you imagine walking into the nearest Sprint store and asking for the latest smartphone to hit the market, only to have the clerk bring out the Pixi? Well, names aside, the phone looks pretty cool. It's basically a stripped-down, simpler version of the Pre. It replaces the sliding keyboard with a fixed QWERTY keypad. The screen is a bit smaller, but still retains the 8GB of memory and GPS.

Ep. 80: Busy summer ahead

This summer will be extremely busy for all of us here at CNET. Not only is the Palm Pre coming in June, but we're expecting iPhone news at WWDC, a new Nokia N97 for North America, the LG enV3 and enV Touch, and more. Phew! We discuss all that, go over our weekly reviews, and answer your questions, too.

Video evidence keeps piling up for the next iPhone; we're not stoked about $1.29 iTunes tracks; every teen is getting an iPod; and the iPig makes a visit.
