>> Brian: What's up guys, Brian Tong here with a special edition of the Apple Byte with CNET.com. I'm in line just like everyone else waiting for the iPhone 3GS. Are you guys ready for this thing?

>> [crowd cheers]

>> Brian: All right, let's do it. ^M00:00:18 [ music ] ^M00:00:31

>> Brian: You're the first person in line.

>> Yep.

>> Brian: What time did you get here?

>> 10:45PM.

>> Brian: And, you know, we're you worried about really getting a phone this time around?

>> No, not at all. I mean I biked by, there was no one here, so I got in line. Last time I was here for like 25 hours and I was like 8th in line.

>> Brian: And what's the feature that really gets you a little juiced about getting the iPhone right now?

>> I think right now it's the whole editing the video on the phone. That's pretty, pretty cool.

>> Brian: And you brought your girlfriend right here

>> My girlfriend. Yeah.

>> Brian: And she's hanging out?

>> No she's getting an iPhone too.

>> Brian: Oh, and are you getting the iPhone for her?

>> Yes.

>> Brian: Oh, really? See, now this is a quality guy, taking care of his lady and himself.

>> Take notes.

>> Brian: What is, what's that you have on your phone? Oh my, all right. Do you feel like the iPhone might bring you guys closer together, since he's been on his so much now that you'll be part of the party?

>> Oh, definitely will. We can text each other from the other rooms easily, and, and we can send video messages quickly.

>> Brian: What brings you out here this morning?

>> My husband. I'm standing in line, so he can get onboard.

>> Brian: No!

>> Yeah. Cause he hasn't got one yet.

>> Brian: So,

>> Now I'm

>> Brian: You're, you're using your time

>> I am.

>> Brian: Your sleep.

>> I am.

>> Brian: So why are you waiting in line for the iPhone 3GS? ^M00:01:51 [ music ] [ crowd cheering sounds ] ^M00:02:15

>> Brian: You waited in line. Came here a little early in the morning. How do you feel about getting it?

>> Ah, feels good, because I sold my 3G on Ebay just 2 days ago and yesterday I didn't have it. So it was tough getting through the day, but

>> Brian: You felt a little naked?

>> Yes I did.

>> I'm gonna make men jealous because of my phone.

>> Brian: Here you know what, I'll, actually let me hold onto this for you. All right? Thanks. I'll see ya. And have you been through this whole iPhone line thing before?

>> No. It's the first iPhone, first cell phone. I know.

>> Brian: This, this is, this is big for ya.

>> It was. The earth shook a little bit I think this morning getting a cell phone. But, yeah.

>> Brian: You have your iPhone 3GS, how do you feel?

>> Pretty good.

>> Brian: Yeah.

>> It's my first iPhone.

>> Brian: First iPhone.

>> Yes, indeed.

>> Brian: Now if you could look at your phone right now and speak to it, what would you say to it?

>> Um, can't wait to get you home.

>> Brian: What would you say to it?

>> [laughter] Welcome to my world?

>> Brian: Do you love it?

>> I don't know. I don't know yet, we haven't really, we haven't really gotten that close yet, so we'll see.

>> Brian: If you looked at it, and you know

>> Yes.

>> Brian: As an object of affection, what would you say to your iPhone 3GS right now?

>> [ laughter ] It's too early to play this game.

>> Brian: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, Thank you. That's all right.
