>> Hi. I'm Donald Bell, senior editor for digital, audio, and MP3. And today we're taking a First Look at the iHome ZN9. The ZN9 is the first clock radio made for the Zune MP3 player. It looks a little like a baby version of the Xbox 360, with a boxy design that takes up a fair bit of room on your bed stand. The iHome ZN9 includes both an AM and FM radio, with six presets, two alarms, and line input and output. You can set the alarms to wake you with either the radio, buzzer, or your Zune. And if you forget to dock your Zune and night, the ZN9 will default to the buzzer mode. The three things that impressed us the most with the ZN9 are sleep mode, which slowly fades out music from your Zune while you go to sleep. A battery back-up system, which protects you in case of a power outage, and advanced time setting features that even include a daylight savings time switch. At just $99.00, this is one of the coolest accessories you can buy for your Zune. I'm Donald Bell, and that was a First Look at the iHome ZN9. ^M00:00:59 [ Music ]

iHome ZN9 Clock Radio for Zune Review
The good: The iHome ZN9 alarm clock offers bedside-worthy sound quality, Zune MP3 player compatibility, AM/FM radio, battery backup, dual alarms, an attractive design, and sophisticated features.
The bad: The iHome ZN9's wide design may take up your whole nightstand, its display is difficult to read from bed, and the remote control costs extra.
The bottom line: The iHome ZN9 deserves its place on the nightstand of any Zune owner.
