>> Hi, I'm David Carnoy, Executive Editor for CNET.com and I'm here to tell you about the iHome iH41. iHome calls this a flip alarm clock for your iPod. Where the flip really comes in however, is if you have an iPhone or an iPod Touch. It will work with the standard iPod of course. You flip the speaker on the side so that you can watch your iPhone or your iPod Touch in a horizontal mode. The idea is that you could sit this by your bed side and you got a little movie watching experience right by your bed. And there is a sound expansion mode that widens the sound, so you could make this a little bit better, but this is really a bedside companion, so you are not going to expect really big sound out of this thing. It does have really just basic alarm clock functionality. There is no FM radio here, very simple to use. It does come with a remote control. The one cool thing is that when you do flip the speaker, the time changes orientations when you flip it. This is a very simple system though, there is only an alarm. You could awake to your iPod, but there is no FM radio or AM radio. One of the gripes we had is that when you do flip the speaker, there isn't any flexibility to tilt the speaker if there was some sort of little foot or something that will allow you to adjust the angle of the speaker because it's a little bit hard to watch from certain angles unless you're really directly watching your iPhone or iPod Touch directly on. This may not be the greatest iPod dock in terms of sound that we have already tested, but if you do want to have something for your bedside and you want to put your iPhone or iPod Touch in that horizontal position, this may be a good solution for you. I'm David Carnoy, and that's the iHome iH41. ^M00:01:44 [ Music ]
