>> Hi, I'm Jasmine France, senior associate editor for cnet.com, and I'm here today with the Hair American Avisa [assumed spelling] Rhapsody flash version. Now it looks a lot like its hard drive counterpart, in fact it's not even very much smaller, it's just a little bit thinner. And it comes in a few different colors from its larger sibling. This one comes in purple, aqua, blue, pink, and black, all the colors are this like nice, deep, metallic shade, and it's got a nice metallic seamless casing going on around the outside. So it has a nice hefty feel to it. It's not heavy or anything, but it does have a solid feel to it. Of course the big thing about this player is all the very many features it has in it, and the two biggest things to mention are the built-in Wi-Fi and the built-in stereo Bluetooth streaming capability. Now of course the stereo Bluetooth is for streaming audio out to Bluetooth headphones and speakers, and then the Wi-Fi can accomplish many things, not the least of which is connecting to Rhapsody, hence the name Avisa Rhapsody. It can get you on to Rhapsody channels for listening to those radio station-like streams on Rhapsody, and you can also download content from Rhapsody anyplace with a Wi-Fi connection. So it's really cool in that way if you're looking for those advanced features. It also plays video of course, and photos, and it has an FM tuner built in. You can download podcasts even on the go if you have a Wi-Fi connection. There's separate sorting for audio books, it does support audible, naturally it supports subscription WMA, it also supports AAC, MP3, and some other audio formats that might be of use. It is large for a flash player, but then again you do get the large two point five inch screen here. A couple buttons to notice, it does have the dedicated volume on the side, we always like to see that. The power button, a little bit hard to press cause it's flush with the player and there's a little groove on the side, but minor complaint. On the top you have the direct Wi-Fi connect button, as well as a hold switch and your standard headphone jack. And then on the bottom there is a dock connector proprietary, and also this mini USB. Now it actually charges and syncs via mini USB, so this docking it after is probably, you're just preparing for future accessories. This is a pretty high priced flash player. I mean it is fully featured, but for a four gigabyte player you're paying a hundred and eighty nine dollars, whereas eight gigabyte is two hundred and twenty nine. That is on the high side, however you do get a [inaudible] power adapter in the package, that's pretty rare. You also get the silicone case, which is kind of handy, and then these decent ear buds which are in ear canal buds. And they actually are kind of stylish. So yeah, that's the Avisa Rhapsody. If you're looking for something with really advanced capabilities, specifically Wi-Fi, this is something you should definitely give a look to. I'm Jasmine France, and this has been the Avisa Rhapsody.

Ibiza Rhapsody (4GB, pink) Review
The good: The Ibiza Rhapsody offers about every feature in the book, including Wi-Fi; podcast support with wireless updating; photo, video, and subscription music support; on-the-go access to Rhapsody; updatable themes and wallpaper; even a basic Web browser. It also comes in a variety of colors and is easy to use; the interface is well-implemented; and the processor is powerful.
The bad: The Ibiza Rhapsody is expensive compared with competitors, and it has copycat looks. It's large for a flash player, has a poor battery life, and it only works with Windows XP and Vista. Doesn't include A2DP Bluetooth integration.
The bottom line: Haier America's flash-based Ibiza Rhapsody is pricier and larger than the competition, but its straightforward interface, excellent wireless integration, speedy processor, and plethora of features should appeal to those looking for a player that does it all.
