Huawei Honor (unlocked) Video Transcript
Hey, everyone. This is Jessica Dolcourt for CNET and I'm taking a first look today at the Huawei Honor. This is an unlock world phone. It runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread, so that means that in the US it will work for AT&T and T-Mobile. Now, the Honor here is one of Huawei's more premium phones. It's got a much more polished design and some high flying specs. We'll see that it's got a black glossy face and white backing insides. It's also squarish and it's shape almost resembles the iPhone4. It's also pretty fast. It's go at 1.4 gigahertz single core processor and a 4-inch touch screen. The lock screen has short cuts to open the camera, the texting inbox or the call log. There are five customizable home screens on this phone and it's go big cartoonish and easy to press icons, so it's pretty easy to get around. There's also an 8 mega pixel camera with auto focus and flash and it takes 720p HD video. There's also a 2 mega pixel camera on the front and that's for video chats and also for self portraits. There's a 1900 MAh battery on here which is pretty good and it promises talk time of up to 10 hours, so you can see that the specs are very high-end and it delivers on them overall. Now, this phone isn't tied to any carrier in the US, it is gonna tap out at 3G speed, but it could presumably go up to HSPA plus speed which are technically 3G speeds, but very (suit?) up, but they're not LTE. The biggest downside so far on this phone is the price. It will cost about $600 to $700 depending on where you buy it and that's because it unlock. So if you really want it, you're gonna have to save up. However, you can manually upgrade to ice cream sandwich on this phone from Huawei's website, so that is a plus. I'm Jessica Dolcourt for CNET taking a first look at the Huawei Honor. You can read thefull review and other reviews on CNET.com.

Huawei U8860 Honor - glossy black (unlocked) Review
The good: The Huawei Honor has an easy-to-use interface overlaying Android 2.3 Gingerbread, and a mega battery that promises lengthy talk times.
The bad: You don't get all the performance you'd expect from the specs, including the 8-megapixel camera. Call quality was also harsh in our tests, and the unlocked price is a probable deterrent for U.S. customers.
The bottom line: The Huawei Honor may be a step up from most of the company's devices that we get our hands on, but U.S. customers should seek local versions of the Android smartphone, like the Huawei Mercury with Cricket.
