>> Hi I'm Bonnie Cha senior editor at CNET.com. And today we're taking a first look at the HTC Vox also known as HTC S710. This phone is really all about design. Inside it's basically just the Windows Mobile 6 device. But, has this nice compact form factor, you got the external dial pad on the outside you can, so you can dial numbers easily. But, you can also slide up the cover and it has a full corded keyboard. And it's actually surprisingly really easy to use even though the button looks pretty small. But, there's plenty of spacing in between the keys so you can fire off emails and text messages really quick. Again, it's Window Mobile 6 and it has WiFi and Bluetooth and push email out of the box. Also has a two mega pixel camera on the back. The one big thing missing from this phone is 3D connect [inaudible]. With it, it would've been really, really cool device. But, otherwise it's not bad. It has excellent call qualities so you get a lot of good use out of it. Unfortunately it's not picked up by a US carrier at this time. So, you will pay about 450 dollars for an unlocked version. But, if you can swing it I'd get it. It's a great phone. I'm Bonnie Cha and this has been the HTC Vox ^M00:01:05 [ Music ]

HTC Vox S710 (unlocked) Review
The good: The HTC Vox S710 boasts a best-of-breed design that packs a full QWERTY keyboard into a compact slider design. The Windows Mobile 6 smart phone also offers excellent call quality, solid talk time battery life, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, and a 2-megapixel camera.
The bad: The S710 doesn't support 3G, and the camera delivers off-colored photos. The device can be sluggish at times, especially with numerous applications open.
The bottom line: The HTC Vox S710 is an outstanding smart phone that brings a solid set of features and good performance into one sleek device; only the inclusion of 3G support could make this smart phone better.
