>> Hi. I'm Bonnie Cha, senior editor at CNET.com and we are here at CTIA fall of 2008. I've got your first look at the HTC Touch Pro. This is announced for Sprint today and it's very much like the Touch Diamond except that it's got three major differences. One, it has a slide pretty keyboard. It has expandable media and the camera also has its flash. It is running the Touch Pro 3D interface so it's very cool. You can kinda scroll through the screens and it has Sprint offerings on there as well. It's running Windows Mobile 6.1 and it's fully stuffed with wireless options including eVideo, RAV A, GPS, WiFi and Bluetooth. Again, it's Windows Mobile 6.1 and it will available through Sprint in October, around October 19th for about 299.99 at launch with a two-year contract then after we wait. A very sleek-looking device. It is aimed up business users. So if you're looking for a device to take with you on the go for work and everything, I'll say the Touch Pro looks pretty promising. The good: The HTC Touch Pro offers a full QWERTY keyboard and a gorgeous touch screen. The Windows Mobile 6.1 smartphone also offers Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and EV-DO Rev. A support as well a nice mix of productivity and multimedia features.
The bad: The Touch Pro is sluggish at times. The smartphone is bulky, and there's no standard headphone jack or dedicated camera key.
The bottom line: Despite some performance issues, the HTC Touch Pro is one of Sprint's most feature-packed and powerful smartphones for business users.
