HTC Titan (AT&T) Video Transcript
I'm Nicole Lee, senior associate editor, for CNET.com and this is a first look at the HTC Titan for AT&T Wireless. It is one of the first Windows Phone Devices to shoot with Windows Phone 7.5 Mango. As you can see here, the HTC Titan is appropriately named. It's an absolutely massive phone with a 4.7-inch diagonal display. It is quite tall and wide as well around 5 x 3 inches. However, the phone is quite slim and is easy to hold because of its sloped sides. On the back is an 8-megapixel with a dual LED flash. On the front of the phone above the display is a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. The overall build quality of the phone is very good. It's built out of a very nice feeling metallic material. That gives the phone a very polished and premium feel in the hand. On the front like I said is a 4.7-inch display. It has VGA resolution that's 800 x 480 pixels. As you can see, it's really bright and colorful, very vivid and vibrant as well. As a Windows Phone, the HTC Titan has a number of cool features like access to Xbox Live as well as support for Zune Music. The HTC Titan has a number of extra features specific to HTC. That includes HTC Hub, which is an interesting hub of information for weather, news, feeds, and more. You also get access to HTC Watch, which is HTCs video and movie rental service. Like all Windows Phone devices, it also has internet explorer and tight integration to Windows Live ID. You get a very good integration with Facebook, Twitter; all manner of social networks as well. The HTC Titan has a 1.5 gigahertz Qualcomm processor. We think that was quite useful in making the phone very zippy and snappy to navigate. One cool thing that HTC added to the Titan was a panorama shot mode with the camera. The HTC Titan retails for around $200 with a new 2-year service agreement with the AT&T. I'm Nicole Lee and this has been the first look at the HTC Titan.
The HTC Mozart is a beautifully designed Windows Phone 7 device that offers good performance, but fails to deliver on one of its hallmark features.
The LG VX8550 Chocolate is definitely a big improvement over the original Chocolate, with a beautiful yet functional design plus a host of impressive features to boot.
The Microsoft Xbox 360 and the Sony Playstation 3 are the titans of the console gaming world! In Part 1 of this Prizefight, Veronica looks at the design and features.
The HTC Titan II is a solid Windows Phone 7.5 (Mango) handset, but how does its hardware compare to the previous Titan (just a few months old) and Nokia's flagship Windows Phone handset--the Lumia 900?
If you are a NASCAR fanatic, this custom-designed phone offers enough features to impress your friends at the track.
The 500i certainly makes a good first impression, thanks to its multifunctionality, its touch-screen display, and its beautiful graphics, but it needs to back them up with better performance.
The Samsung F7100 series offers a gorgeous design and impressive features, but "just OK" picture quality makes it a poorer value than its rivals.
The Titan lives up to its name with a large 4.7-inch WVGA display. It has Windows Phone Mango, a 5-megapixel camera, and should be joining AT&T's lineup some time soon.
The new HTC Titan II may be one of the largest Windows Phone handsets, or indeed any OS device, on the market. For the size you get swift LTE access and a razor sharp 16 megapixel camera.
The Nokia 8800's flawed design and short battery life mar an otherwise beautiful and feature-packed phone.
HTC Titan (AT&T) Review
The good: The HTC Titan has a premium and polished design coupled with a colorful and vibrant display. It ships with the latest Windows Phone 7.5 Mango OS, and has a 1.5GHz Qualcomm processor, an 8-megapixel camera that takes great pictures, and a front-facing 1.3-megapixel camera for video chat.
The bad: The HTC Titan could be a little too large for small hands, and it doesn't offer expandable memory. We expected better call quality as well.
The bottom line: The HTC Titan's big and beautiful design and impressive features make it one of the better Windows Phone offerings on AT&T.
