>> Hi, I'm Bonnie Cha, senior editor at CNET.com, and we are here at CTIA 2009, taking a First Look at the HTC Snap. This is their latest [inaudible] device, and we haven't seen one like -- in this form factor in a while. It's very similar to the T-Mobile Dash, which was released a couple years ago, very sleek, has a full QWERTY keyboard here. The buttons are a little bit bigger, and it has a nice, rubbery texture so it should be easy to type messages and dial numbers. Here you've get your standard navigation controls, as well as a track ball navigator. Feature wise, it's running Windows Mobile 6.1, and this device was designed to simplify your email. It has something called "The Inner Circle," so you just press this button. It'll bring up your selected users emails to the top so you can respond immediately or read those emails. You can define as many users as you want, but the whole point of it is to keep it down to a few. Other features include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and a US version of this phone will be released in the summer that supports AT&T's HSDPA band. The phone will be called the HTC S522. No pricing has been announced at this point, but it will be sold unlocked. It looks like a very promising device. I really like the form factor, and the keyboard's really nice, so it should be a good emailing device. And they're also this towards first-time smartphone users. So they are making it easy to use.
