Hey, I'm Justin Yu for CNET.com. This is the first look at the HP Photosmart 7520 E All-in-One. So, this was a slight upgrade to last year's model, that's the 7510, and it has almost all the same features for 50 bucks more. So, if you can find the 7510 in a big discount, say like under 100 bucks, and don't plan to use the fax machine very much, then I think go with that one. But the 7520 does have a lot going forward that makes it worth 200 bucks. But let's take a Closer look. This one is a multi-function app device, which is basically a fancy way of saying that it has a built-in fax machine, copier and scanner in addition to the printer of course. HP has recently stopped to train of putting touchscreens on all their printers in lieu of hard buttons, which may take some getting used to but at least they don't do it just for tech safe. And you can link the printer to your computer using a USB cable in the back. But the best way to do it is through a wireless network because there you can take advantage of all the Cloud Printing features. So, what is Cloud Printing? Well, it's a way to print remotely using any web connected device. And when you set up the wireless connection, you have the option of creating an ePrint account that gives you the printer's e-mail address and you can then use to send print jobs over the air. So, for example, if you gave this printer to a student to use in a dorm room, you could use the e-mail address to send and automatically print out family photos to keep them updated on what's going on at home. And there's also other useful features from the touchscreen and wireless connection. The home screen lets you download various apps just like you would on a smartphone. And HP's ePrint center is the online hub for more apps. You can download more apps and those include entertainment printouts like crossword puzzles and coloring pages for the kids. But there's also various apps for news updates, weather, tickets and much more. The big difference in a 7520 over the 7510 is the addition of the dedicated fax machine and the 7510 cut cost, by including eFax instead of a phone line. An eFax is a software utility that brings fax functionality to low-end models by sending documents over the internet. Now, the 7520 on the other hand does have a separate phone line but again, if you're not gonna use the fax machine anyway, I suggest doing a search for the HP Photosmart 7510. It's the same model as the 7520 and you can probably get it for less. You could check out more details in my full review on CNET.com but that's gonna do it for me. I'm Justin Yu, you just took a first look at the HP Photosmart 7520 E All-in-One Printer. Thanks for watching.

Whether you work from home, in a small office, or with varied home printing, scanning, faxing, and copying needs, this all-in-one takes care of business.
Although the Epson WorkForce takes its time printing snapshot photos and graphics-heavy documents, this office-capable device earns my approval with affordable inks and cloud-printing features.

Business shoppers and home users alike should check out this printer. Its cloud-printing features, double-sided prints, and the auto-document feeder on top make scanning and copying really easy. And its output speeds are impressive, too.

The HP Photosmart C5180 all-in-one is almost perfect for your small-business or home setup, but it lacks a good fax feature.
We wouldn't recommend it for high-output households or large offices, but the HP Photosmart D110a provides inexpensive access to HP's clever new ePrint and Web-connected apps.

The HP Photosmart Premium Fax All-in-One printer makes it easy to increase productivity thanks to its streamlined user interface. The fax, copy, print, and scanning features boast helpful extras like double-sided printing, wireless connectivity, separate photo trays, and quick-access control panel buttons, all while maintaining lab-quality photos and a low cost to print.
Though slightly more expensive than competing inkjet workhorses, we recommend the Epson WorkForce 845 for its refined design and Epson's Connect cloud-printing portfolio.
HP Photosmart Premium TouchSmart Web
Aside from the never-ending name, the HP Photosmart Premium TouchSmart Web All-in-One Printer looks good and prints high-quality photos at competitive speeds. We also appreciate effort put into the downloadable applications for the interactive touch screen, but the innovation is offset by a hefty price tag. Unless Web-connectivity and touch screens are a top priority, we recommend checking out HP's Photosmart multifunction printers that still offer high performance at a much lower cost.
The HP Photosmart 3310's many useful features make it a good fit for a home office.
Speed and economy make the HP Photosmart 8250 a reasonable choice for family photo printing.
HP Photosmart 7520 e-All-in-One Review
The good: The HP Photosmart 7520 all-in-one is a cost-efficient introduction to the world of cloud access, remote printing, and simple interactions with the unit's large 4.33-inch color touch screen.
The bad: With no support for Ethernet, this printer won't do much for IT shoppers looking to link to a hardwired network.
The bottom line: The HP Photosmart 7520 earns its "all-in-one" moniker and adds cloud printing, remote accessibility, wireless connectivity, and app downloads to its list of features for busy households and small offices.
