-Hello, I'm Luke Westaway for CNET here at CES 2013. I'm hanging out with the HP Pavilion Touchsmart Sleekbook. It is a Windows 8 laptop with a touchscreen, oh la la. So, the screen is the most interesting thing about this. So, let's start by taking a look at that. As much as 15.6 inches on the diagonal and has a standard resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. That's not a mind-blowingly high pixel count, but it looks pretty good from what I can see. My only real concern on first impression is that the viewing angle seems a little shallow. If I tilt the screen just a little bit upward/down, I start to lose color. It feels reasonably light. The design is very plasticky, which could prove divisive, but I personally quite like the sparkly black effect on the wrist rest. There's a number pad on the keyboard, which is handy if you're the kind of person who uses that thing. And HP has decided to use separate click buttons [unk] integrating them as it usually does, which personally for me is a welcomed change. Ports wise, you've got all the usual suspects. There's 2 USB 3 ports and USB 2 port. There's an HDMI socket. You've got Ethernet, SD card reader as well. You can have up to 1 terabyte of storage and up to 8 gigabytes of RAM. As for the processor, these machines contain an AMD A-Series APU. That's a bit like a combined CPU and a graphics processor. And HP reckons that you'll get similar kind of performance to a laptop that has an entry-level discrete graphics chip. It's coming up on January 3rd. If you don't really want the touchscreen, then there is a non-touch version available and that's coming out in the middle of January. It's gonna start at $650, so it's a kinda mid-ranged price sort of machine. I'm Luke Westaway for CNET, and this is the HP Pavilion Touchsmart Sleekbook.
The AMD-powered HP Pavilion Sleekbook TouchSmart 15z is a slim, midsize laptop at a very reasonable price, and includes a touch screen.
HP's new TouchSmart 600 takes advantage of Windows 7's multitouch capability better than any other new all-in-one we've seen this fall. Between strong touch software and a host of digital entertainment options, it might just be the self-contained home entertainment PC you've been looking for.
HP's touch-screen mainstream ultrabook, the Envy TouchSmart Ultrabook 4, brings Windows 8 to life.
Aside from the never-ending name, the HP Photosmart Premium TouchSmart Web All-in-One Printer looks good and prints high-quality photos at competitive speeds. We also appreciate effort put into the downloadable applications for the interactive touch screen, but the innovation is offset by a hefty price tag. Unless Web-connectivity and touch screens are a top priority, we recommend checking out HP's Photosmart multifunction printers that still offer high performance at a much lower cost.
A slim laptop that adds a Windows 8 touch display, the Spectre XT is HP's flagship ultrabook.

The $699 version of HP's TouchSmart 310z looks like an appealing home media center thanks to the upgraded touch software, but this tweaked $1,109 version lacks value. Configure a more modest 310z for a better deal without sacrificing touch functionality.
Samsung and Coca-Cola collaborate on an interactive, touch-screen Coke machine. Brian Tong takes a First Look from CES 2009.
At CES 2007, we take a look at the HP Pavilion tx1000. This laptop converts into a tablet that can be controlled with your fingertips and comes with a nice glossy screen, a remote control, and two headphone jacks.
The ultrabook-like HP Envy Sleekbook 6 is the sharpest-looking $599 laptop you're likely to find, although you'll pay a performance premium.
