HP Pavilion dm4-3090se Beats Edition Video Transcript
Hi. Dan Ackerman and we are here with the HP Pavilion DM4 special beats edition. What they've done is taken a standard Pavilion fortune in this laptop, dress it up in this cool, man black exterior and of course end of that beats audio sound system make it use to from the higher end HP NB laptop. Would you end up with this something that's 899 but looks like a much more expensive machine. You know it's got a thing with Core i5 and see what everything else you'd expect from mid price, mid size laptop but frankly this is one of the coolest examples of that kind of overused genre that we seen. I especially like the back with keyboard. I would love back with keyboard with this one because of the beats kind of color branding is red and that is two things for you. A lot of the back with keyboards that I've seen are just too bright. And especially if you're using on a dark room, it's just a little bit over powering. So here in this case, the red light, it's almost like the red light in the dark room commuted. So even if it's a dark room if you're watching TV or something, you can turn on the laptop and use the back with keyboard without really blinding yourself without it being too bright. And plus, it's frankly just the unique look, I don't think I've ever seen a colored back light keyboard like this except for some area where laptops have break adjustment things they can change you know like 4 different quarts that's on the keyboard to be different colors. And of course the actual surf (??) the mass slide that's got big deep logo on the back. Just a metal over right on the back panel and the rest of it is plastic and that brings up one of my few problems with this particular system. It's 899. It's definitely good for what you get but for like a 150 or $200 more, you can trade up to the HP (envy line?) which has everything this guy has but also at all metal body and usually just a grid graphics card with the ID and for beats edition lasts. Now that's still a sizable additional investment. But if you're already up to $900, I'd have to seriously consider you know adding the 150 or 200 depending if you want the 14 or 15-inch (??) PND because there's a really big going to premium high end mid sized Windows laptop right now. I'm Dan Ackerman and that is the HP Pavilion DM4 Beats edition
HP's 15-inch mainstream laptop has Beats audio, tons of configuration options, and a fingerprint reader that's cooler than you realize. We show you why.
With the Pavilion dv5000z series, HP delivers a well-designed and versatile multimedia laptop that starts at a highly affordable price point.
The HP Pavilion Chromebook 14 feels more like a traditional laptop than other Chromebooks thanks to its bigger screen.
We like the HP Pavilion dv6000's attractive design and multimedia features, but initial performance results are a bit underwhelming. We thought this Core 2 Duo laptop would be speedier.
HP's hot new Pavilion HDX weighs 15.5 pounds, has a 20-inch screen, and is a laptop in name only. This mobile home theater has a huge screen and a dockable remote control, and it should come with a weight belt.
The 11.1-inch Lenovo IdeaPad U110 is the most beautiful laptop we've seen in years, and behind those good looks is a well-appointed, fairly priced ultraportable. Despite a few minor nitpicks, we recommend the IdeaPad U110 to those who want a lightweight, eye-catching laptop for frequent travel.
Armed with one of the most eye-catching designs around, the Booq Boa Squeeze is one of the most compact yet capacious laptop backpacks we've seen.
Apple's redesigned 13-inch MacBook is essentially a shrunken version of the more expensive 15-inch Pro line. With its new aluminum body, new trackpad, and Nvidia graphics, it's an even more attractive choice for mainstream laptop buyers than was the plastic model it replaces.
At CES 2011, Molly Wood and Dan Ackerman check out the HP Pavilion DM1, an ultralight 11-inch laptop that uses an AMD Fusion processor.
Anyone looking for the power of a midsize laptop in a compact 12-inch body has only a few choices, and none to date tops Lenovo's excellent ThinkPad X201.
