"National Lampoon's Barely Legal" trailer

There's an excruciatingly difficult time in every young man's life between when he starts thinking about sex and when he can actually do something about it. Meet Deacon (Eric von Detten), Matt (Daniel Farber), and Fred (Tony Denman), three typical American teenagers stuck right in the middle of that horrible age when it seems like life is passing you by while you're just standing still. They'll do anything for even a glimpse of sex and spend their mornings pirating X-rated movies from Fred's after-school job at the video store. But when Fred is fired, the well runs dry, and the young entrepreneurs come up with a new plan: make their own "adult" film. Along the way, they interview a gaggle of toothless hookers, butt heads with Deacon's nemesis Jake (Riley Smith), befriend the sexy but no-nonsense stripper turned actress Ashley (Sarah Jane Potts), and fuel the wrath of local porno king Vic Ramalot (Horatio Sanz). It isn't long before our heroes have to get themselves out of the mess they've gotten into - which turns out to be the wackiest series of misadventures ever to take place in high school. Directed by David M. Evans. Also starring Tom Arnold and Amy Smart.

"On a Clear Day" trailer

"On a Clear Day" is an inspirational drama with humor, about forgiveness and fortitude, from an exciting new voice in filmmaking. Filmed on location in Glasgow, the Isle of Man and Dover, the film centers on Frank Redmond (Peter Mullan). After decades of laboring as a Glasgow shipbuilder, this no-nonsense 55-year-old working-class man suddenly finds himself laid off. For the first time in his life, Frank is without a job or a sense of direction, and is too proud to ask for guidance. His best mates ? rascally Danny (Billy Boyd), timid Norman (Ron Cook) and cynical Eddie (Sean McGinley) ? are there for him, but Frank still feels desperately alone. An offhand remark from Danny inspires Frank to challenge himself. Already contemplating the state of his relationships with loving wife Joan (two-time Academy Award nominee Brenda Blethyn) and all-but-estranged son Rob (Jamie Sives), Frank is determined to shore up his own self-confidence. He will attempt the near impossible ? swimming the English Channel. As Frank plunges headlong into his new daily life, his astonished friends are swept along with him. Prodded by stalwart fish-and-chips shop owner Chan (Benedict Wong), the men support Frank, train him ? and keep their goal secret from his wife and son. Frank is unable to confide in those closest to him, but as the big day and moment of truth draw near, there is a sea change. Frank's family confronts him, and he realizes that he must repair his strained family ties. As Frank and those closest to him discover ? or re-discover ? reserves of love and compassion, he realizes that he is also swimming from one part of his life to another.

Albeit slightly less impressive than other LED-based LCDs with local dimming, the Toshiba SV670U also costs less and still gives great blacks.

Vizio VP322

The extremely inexpensive 32-inch Vizio VP322 introduces a new size category for plasma, but its overall performance is no better, and often worse, than that of similar-size LCDs.

The Sharp LC-32GP1U's high price makes it difficult to recommend over similar-size LCDs, despite plenty of features and a generally good picture quality.

HP LP2065 Review

The good: Good image quality; highly adjustable; four extra USB 2.0 ports; calibration and asset management software included.

The bad: Some adjustments are difficult to make smoothly; colors and grays show greenish tints.

The bottom line: The HP LP2065 is viable for business, corporate-office, or no-nonsense home use, but similar LCDs are available for less.
