"Slither" trailer

"Slither" is an edgy blend of heart-stopping terror, wry humor and surprising humanity from genre-bending screenwriter James Gunn, whose "Dawn of the Dead" became one of 2004's most surprising hits. The sleepy town of Wheelsy could be any small town in America-somewhat quaint and gentle, peopled with friendly folks who mind their own business. But just beneath the surface charm, something unnamed and evil has arrived...and is growing. No one seems to notice as telephone poles become clogged with missing pet flyers, or when one of the town's richest citizens, Grant Grant (Michael Rooker), begins to act strangely. But when farmers' livestock turn up horribly mutilated and a young woman goes missing, Sheriff Bill Pardy (Nathan Fillion) and his team, aided by Grant's wife Starla (Elizabeth Banks), uncover the dark force laying siege to their town...and come face-to-face with an older-than-time organism intent on absorbing and devouring all life on Earth. "Slither" is the feature film directing debut of screenwriter James Gunn and stars Nathan Fillion, Elizabeth Banks, Gregg Henry and Michael Rooker.

"Duane Hopwood" trailer

David Schwimmer stars as "Duane Hopwood," a down-on-his-luck divorced father who works the night shift as a pit boss at Caesars Palace in Atlantic City. Heartsick about the demise of his marriage to Linda (Janeane Garofolo), Duane does nothing much in his daily life but work and drink. When his visitation rights are threatened after he's caught driving while intoxicated with his daughter in the backseat, Duane confronts the realization that the time has come to get his life back on track before he loses everything. A moving and humorous look at the limits of unconditional love, what defines a family, and how we're all responsible for our own happiness, "Duane Hopwood" was written and directed by Matt Mulhern.

Set in the cold, windswept world of an Atlantic City November, "Duane Hopwood" also stars Judah Friedlander as Anthony, a lonely slot machine repairman who dreams of comedy stardom, and Susan Lynch as Gina, a bartender who befriends Duane. Rich in the details of daily life, wistful and wise, "Duane Hopwood" is the story of a man who comes back from the brink, and is finally able to celebrate life in all its imperfections.

"Crash" trailer

A Brentwood housewife and her district attorney husband. A Persian store owner. Two police detectives who also are lovers. A black television director and his wife. A Mexican locksmith. Two carjackers. A rookie cop. A middle-aged Korean couple. They all live in Los Angeles, and in the next 36 hours, they will all collide. A provocative, unflinching look at the complexities of racial conflict in America, "Crash" is that rare cinematic event--a film that challenges audiences to question their own prejudices. Diving headlong into the diverse melting pot of post-9/11 Los Angeles, this compelling urban drama tracks the volatile intersections of a multi-ethnic cast, examining fear and bigotry from multiple perspectives as characters careen in and out of each other's lives. No one is safe in the battle zone of intolerance. And no one is immune to the simmering rage that sparks violence and changes lives. Funny, powerful, and always unpredictable, "Crash" boldly explores the gray area between black and white, victim and aggressor, and finds no easy solutions. "Crash" is directed by Paul Haggis from a screenplay by himself and Bobby Moresco, and stars Sandra Bullock, Don Cheadle, Matt Dillon, Jennifer Esposito, William Fichtner, Brendan Fraser, Terrence Dashon Howard, Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, Thandie Newton, Ryan Phillippe, Larenz Tate, and Nona Gaye.
