If you're a MySpace addict or a wannabe hipster, the Hero from Helio may be for you. But no instant messaging and no Bluetooth, plus lackluster media options and a high price tag mean the Hero definitely isn't for everyone.

Helio CEO Sky Dayton tells CNET News.com's Maggie Reardon that he's bringing a number of new mobile functions to the laggard American market.
Cyworld.com will officially be released in the U.S. on Aug. 15, 2006. The site recalls "The Sims" or "Second Life" with the incorporation of avatars, but is similar to MySpace.com in its more basic functions (photo uploading, journaling, networking).
