>> Hi I'm David Katzmaier, senior editor at CNET.com and I am next to the hands-free XV. If you've never heard of a hands-free you're not alone, it's relatively unknown TV brand that is actually more well known for making TVs that are novelty items shaped like footballs, basketballs, pigs whatever. So much more mundane looking television on outside, it's a 32 inch LCD. Actually it's pretty classy looking, it's a relatively inexpensive LCD, one of the least expensive on the market right now but they managed to make it look pretty cool. There is this glossy black border around the edge here and a matte black speakers below that and then this stand actually matches the speakers and the gloss sell its got both the glossy and the matte on the bottom of it, so it's a pretty nice. Over all things stand really ties it together. This TV despite being relatively inexpensive includes planning of functionality, including picture in picture and some good control over the picture itself including you'll be able to fine tune the color temperature, which we really liked. You can go in and adjust red, green and blue independently on this TV. And around back you'll find there is one component video input, two RF inputs, one for cable and one for over the air antenna and also in AV input with S video. Fewer inputs than a lot of other LCD TVs, there is also in HDMI input and a PC input so you can connect your computer. When we took the hands-free XV into the lab as you expect we weren't exactly thrilled by its picture quality for such an inexpensive TV, but then again was pleasantly surprising. In terms of black level, it really didn't produce the deepest color of black so it's not quite the home theater powerhouse that a lot of other, more expensive TVs are. Color accuracy was also a little bit underwhelming although at the end of the day we were able to use its adjustable color temperature to fine tune the color to be a lot more acceptable than it came out of the box. So overall again the picture quality was pretty darn good for a TV in this price range. It's a quick look at the hands-free XV and I'm David Katzmaier. ^M00:01:56 [ Music ]
