E-40: "The Making of the 'Tell Me When To Go' Video"
This is a behind-the-scenes look at the video shoot for the first single from My Ghetto Report Card, E-40's soon-to-be released 12th album. "Tell Me When To Go" features Keak Da Sneak, and was recently shot by Lil' Jon and Director, Bernard Gourley (Lyfe Jennings, Three 6 Mafia, Beanie Siegle). The video introduces the world to the Hyphy movement in the Bay. "Hyphy music is like Crunk, but in a more up-tempo way. The culture is a way of life for Bay kids. We got the side shows, the muscle cars, we ghost ride the whip, we got the invisible driving, the music, the go dumb get stupid dances, we just actin' a fool expressing ourselves," explains E-40. Thousands of people showed up at the shoot including just about every rapper in the bay, members of the Hieroglyphics crew, and members of The BME Click including Lil' Jon, Lil' Scrappy, and Bohagon. "We were smokin' up the block, turning donuts and figure 8's. We had the hyphy train crackin'. Just imagine 300 cars riding back to back after a party with every car, van, camper or truck with all they doors open, shakin' their dreads, showing their grill, sporting stunna shade glasses, dancing on top of the roofs and hoods of the whip, campaigning like the president, like a big parade. It's just a whole bunch of super energy. You gotta see it," explains E-40.

New video for My People by the Presets. Directed by the one and only Kris Moyes. The Presets are Julian Hamilton (production/vocals/keyboards) and Kimberley Moyes (production/drums/programming). Trained artists in every regard, the pair met studying theory and music performance at Sydney’s esteemed Conservatorium of Music. In a sea of squares, the two stood out like jet black ink blots on a page. Music composition by day, dancing to the Pet Shop Boys, New Order and Acid House by night, they were perfectly primed to create a seamless combination of high and low culture to create a genre all their own. Beams was the answer.

Having already received extensive radio airplay, including BBC Radio, RTE2 FM (Ireland), Today FM (Ireland), Totalrock and XFM, in April they recorded a live BBC Television Session with BBC Live Music Director David Amphlett, recording the tracks "Save You" and "Media Coke Whore" (see the footage at www.thesouthernelectrics.com). The Promo Video to the last single "Electric Superhighway" was extensively played on Sky and Cable Television. The b-side to "Save You", "Barcelona Burnout" was written for the documentary film "Barcelona Burnout". TSE provided the music to the film, a road trip documentary film about the 100th Anniversary of the Harley Davidson, produced and directed by Vincent Lewis with Executive Producer Andrew Mark Sewell as an Ignite/B7 Co-Production. "Barcelona Burnout" can currently be seen on digital and satellite TV channel Men and Motors. A special showing of "Barcelona Burnout" with The Southern Electrics Unplugged performing music from the film is taking place at the Greenwich Picturehouse. TSE are recording "Electric Love" at the legendary Battery Studios (Robbie Williams, Joe Strummer, Radiohead) with producer Jaimie Carter (credits include Craig David, The Datsuns, AC/DC, Good Charlotte. A&R and producer for Rondor), the first single from The Southern Electrics' second album. The single is receiving its debut UK airing on Princess Productions' Jimmy Carr's "The Friday Night Project" on C4.
