Welcome to CNET Top 5, where each time we meet, we count down another hot CNET list. I'm Tom Merritt. Time again to dip into Google Trends for a look at what's on the mind of the world. So, we went to Google.com/insights/search to see what searches were on the rise during the past 90 days here on planet Earth. So...let's count 'em down. At No. 5, YouTube.com. Proof positive that some people use Google search like an address bar and type in whole URLs. Coming in at No. 4, e okul. 100 percent of these searches come from Turkey. I hadn't a clue what this meant until HiBerke on Twitter explained it's an attempt to put all student databases in Turkey into the cloud. Go Turkey! Up to No. 3, F1. No this isn't everyone using function keys to get help, it has to do with the budget cap in Formula One racing. At least mostly. Sliding in at No. 2, Twitter. we get criticized for over-covering Twitter, but the fact of the matter is, we only cover it because so many people don't know what the heck it is or what it's used for. Before we get to No. 1, time for another Lame Prize. This set of five matching Oscar Meyer Weiner whistles goes to one of the first 10 people to go blog.cnettv.com and post an answer to the blog posting for this Top 5. Here's the question. What was No. 6 on the list? All right. Let's get to our No. 1. The fastest rising search term in the world on Google over the past three months At No. 1, it's...Swine Flu. You should have guessed it from the pork-inspired lame prize this week. Swine Flu has been deemed a level 6 pandemic, but, thankfully, has turned out to be much less severe than many feared. Here's hoping you avoid even a light case. Well That's it for this edition of CNET Top 5. You can check out all kinds of interesting search stats at google.com/insights/search And don't forget blog.cnettv.com to win the whistles! I'm Tom Merritt. See you next time.
