>> Mini cars are a big deal today and going forward. But what does Mazda have to answer the Yaris, the Fit and the Versa? Well, nothing until now. Here's the Mazda II brand new at Geneva, sort of a super tiny cross over. Engines include a 1.3 liter dual over head cam that does either 74 or 83 rather unimpressive horsepower depending what country you're in. But there's also a 103 horsepower 1.5 and very likely a 1.4 diesel. Now exactly what will get in the US is not entirely clear right now, but maybe that 1.5 liter. And this car can do 45 miles per gallon with several of those engine combinations. Who needs a hybrid? The Mazda II hits Japan first, but should be coming to the US from a plant in Brazil, which is also going to crank out the new Ford Fiesta. ^M00:00:59 [ Music ]
