Wawesh: "Wawero"

The Future in African Urban Music...WAWESH is a hip-hop artist and producer heavily exhaling a breath of freshness into international hip-hop whilst truly representing his country of birth, Kenya. The Sweden based MC has been creating a swirling buzz in Swahili speaking communities in Africa and the Diaspora via his debut hit single, video and his website. Despite being an unfamiliar name to some, his production credits go way back and he is already a renowned name in production circles throughout Scandinavia and other parts of Europe. Under his alter-alias, Kiboy, he also co-owns BlaO Entertainment, a production company that has been involved in many projects including work for the likes of international names like CNN, Samantha Mumba, Talib Kweli, Floetry, NAS and many more. Having had experience in developing artists and creating hits for others, Kiboy decided to step forward to deliver something he believed the Swahili speaking community and fans of quality international hip-hop worldwide wanted. Thus, WAWESH was born.

Youth drama

Two weeks ago, a random person on the Internet found my website and decided to post an entry in his journal bashing me to no end. It was the first time I had ever felt such hatred towards me, even though I'm not sure if the guy was serious about it or not. Although I believe that I could probably cut him up and belittle him more than he did to me, I have decided to not retaliate. He's merely 1 of 6.5 billion people on this planet. Why would I waste my time on this person? There's no reason to. That's why I wasted my time making a video that touches upon this incident instead. If you like wasting time, poor acting, self-mockery, unexpected plot twists, parodies, cliched endings, and an underlying "Brokeback Mountain" theme, then this video is for you!

Stoney XL: "Ghetto"

Relive the era when music had a message, when words sacrificed their giver's soul, when art wasn't an "effect" but rather "affected" those it touched. Relive HIPHOP period. The Real. Inspired by the classic GrandMaster Flash & The Furious Five song "The Message", "GHETTO" seeks to revisit the same pain and despair and see if a true NYC b-boy can find a little bit of hope. Shot on a shoestring budget, this video is quite the buzz in the NYC-Greater Metro area. Shot and edited by Stoney XL of the famed HOODLIFE MOVEMENT Hoodlife Cyphas Street DVDs, as well as many other street dvds like CRACK, Cocaine City and BOSS UP DVD. This video proves a million dollar performance trumps a million dollar budget any day.

"India Revisited"

This is a sincere and honest tribute to the people of India. The essence and magic of this great country is captured in a soul-stirring combination of pictures and music.
