>> Hi, this is Eric Franklin from CNET.com and today we're looking at the Gateway HD1900. This is a 19-inch monitor that has a pretty severe lack of bells and whistles on it. As far as ergonomic options go there's no screen hide adjustment, there's no rotation, there's no pivoting. The screen does tilt back about 20 degrees and it does tilt forward about 5 degrees, but that's about all you're going to get. Connection options include DVI and VGA. There's no HDMI, but the monitor does support HDCP, so you can watch hi-def content on it. The foot stand is fairly wide; however, it doesn't really prevent the monitor from wobbling if you shove it hard enough. The OSD menu is the basic menu that Gateway usually includes with its monitors and to be quite honest is a little bit hard to navigate. Some of the buttons for the OSD actually double as you know your up and down button and it can get kind of confusing if you're trying to get to the menu really quickly. As far as movies go, we tested the monitors with a couple of high-definition failures and we really like the vibrant colors and the deep black set we saw. The monitor can be found for as low as 150 bucks online, which is a pretty good deal for a 19-inch monitor, however, we do wish that it had a few more bells and whistles.
