>> Hi, this is Bonnie Cha, senior associate editor at CNET.com and today we're taking a first look at the Garmin Nuvi 660. This is a high end portable navigation device that you can use in the car and actually it's also great for world travelers. All the maps are preloaded on the device so you don't have to transfer anything from your PC which is great. You get voice guided directions and text based directions as well. It has this nice interface and this huge four inch screen which is great. It's probably one of the bigger ones I've seen on these type of devices. Nice and clear. As you can see the design is really simple which is good. There's just a power button on top and an SD card slot on the side if you want to listen to music or view pictures on the device. It also comes with a travel kit. You can have audible books and I said like MP3's and picture viewer. It also has a language guide. So if you're travelling overseas you can get translation for a bunch of different languages. [ speak another language ] The downside is the price at warranty it will cost about a thousand dollars so it's on the pricey side. But if you travel a lot it's a good device to get otherwise you can get the Garmin Nuvi 350 which is cheaper or things like Magellan Roadmate 2200T. I'm Bonnie Cha and this has been the Garmin Nuvi 660. ^M00:01:11 [ Music ]

Garmin Nuvi 660 Review
The good: The Garmin Nuvi 660 offers an accurate GPS receiver, text-to-speech functionality, and traffic capabilities. The versatile system also features a gorgeous display, integrated Bluetooth, travel tools, and multimedia functions.
The bad: The device is expensive, and there are no external volume controls. The system also doesn't support multidestination route creation.
The bottom line: If you can afford the hefty price tag, the Garmin Nuvi 660 is a solid-performing and versatile GPS device that offers all the navigation basics, tools for the world traveler, Bluetooth, and more.
