Gaming preview: 'Grand Theft Auto IV'
The wait is almost over. On April 29 one of the most recognizable and acclaimed video game franchises will debut its fourth iteration. In 'Grand Theft Auto IV,' you take on the role of Niko Bellic, a Russian immigrant who finds himself in the middle of criminal underworld. 'GTA IV' will be available for the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3.
'Conan' is a new single-player action game based on Robert E. Howard's fantasy stories--but be warned, this isn't Arnold Schwarzenegger's Conan. Scheduled for release on October 23, 'Conan' will be available for both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
The October 25, 2005 release of Liberty City Stories marks the Grand Theft Auto series' first appearance on Sony's fledgling PSP console. The portable crime simulator is a prequel to 2001's Grand Theft Auto 3.

"LittleBigPlanet" is one of the most ambitious games to come along in quite some time. The title is more than just a straightforward platforming adventure. It allows you to create and share custom-designed levels with the rest of the gaming world. Those levels are then rated by users and the best rise to the top. "LittleBigPlanet's" art-style, combined with its unique gameplay, truly give PlayStation 3 owners something to cheer about. "LittleBigPlanet" lands into stores October 28.
Gaming preview: 'Grand Theft Auto IV: The Lost and Damned'
The first of two exclusive Xbox 360 downloadable extensions to "Grand Theft Auto IV" hits the console on February 17. The "Lost and the Damned" expands the "GTA IV" universe by putting you in the boots of a motorcycle gang member (think "GTA" meets "Sons of Anarchy"). Besides a completely separate story from the original "GTA IV" game, "The Lost and the Damned" will also introduce various 16-player multiplayer modes.
Gaming preview: Bionic Commando
Bionic Commando is an update to the game of the same name from the NES era. Capcom has reinvented the series, but remains true to some of the game's signature features such as the grapple arm. Bionic Commando swings into stores May 19 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. PC gamers can expect it sometime this July.

The "Prince of Persia" series found much success in the previous generation of video games. Now Ubisoft is back with a new "Prince of Persia"--complete with a unique art style and a brand-new fighting mechanic. You'll also be joined by a Elika, a female character who helps you fight enemies and solve puzzles. "Prince of Persia" is set to release by year's end for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
The King of Iron Fist Tournament is back for the sixth time, and the game looks better than ever. The arcade classic from Namco hits the PlayStation 3 later this year.

For the first time in its history, the "Tom Clancy" franchise will release an air-combat game in the form of "Tom Clancy's HAWX." Set in the near future, you must battle a private army that has attacked the U.S. with an advanced fleet of jet fighters. "Tom Clancy's HAWX" takes off in March, 2009 on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, and the PC.
