The Galaxy Fame is a cheap way to get Jelly Bean Video Transcript
I'm Andrew Hoyle for CNET, and I'm here at Samsung stand in Mobile World Congress in Barcelona taking a look at the Samsung Galaxy Fame. With their 3.5-inch display, the Galaxy Fame is a lot smaller than the rest of 5-inch plus phones that are out there. That does mean that it's quite a bit easier to hold. It's got the wide plastic design. It's basically been lifted from the Galaxy S III. It has the Chrome speaker and this single physical home button. It's got very rounded corners and it is quite fat, but it still is comfortable to hold and will fit in your pockets fairly easily. The display has a 440 x 320 pixel resolution so it's really not eye-poppingly sharp but it does at least get the job done. Inside is a 1 GHz processor together with 512 MB of RAM. Swapping around Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean is mostly fine, but how it handles more intense tasks like photo-editing and high-definition gaming remains to be seen. Samsung hasn't announced pricing yet, but we are expecting it to be fairly cheap. But we'll find out more about that when it goes on sale in quarter 2 of this year. I'm Andrew Hoyle for CNET and this is a Samsung Galaxy Fame.
