AT&T Fusion Go Phone (Huawei U8652) Video Transcript

This is the AT&T Fusion. It's a Go Phone made by Huawei for AT&T and it's a basic Android 2.3 Gingerbread Smart Phone. I'm Jessica Dolcourt for CNET. I'm gonna tell you about the phone. So first of all, the look. It does look pretty good. It's appealing, its got this 3.5 inch screen. So that's big enough that you can move your hands around but I think it is a little bit small for entering text and things like that. So virtual screen typing is a little bit cramp as I found. But the phone does look pretty nice. It has this blue color. Its got a soft touch finish, 3.2 megapixel camera here. But regardless, even though it has this basic Android operating system and everything that you pretty much want in Android, to me there was something a little bit off about the phone. Its got only a 600 megahertz processor. It was noticeably slower than other phones that I've tested. So you do have to have patience with it. There's also something a little bit off like the screen. The resolution looks fine. It's not super crystal clear but I think because the screen is highly reflective, it just made reading it in a lot of environment a little bit harder. I had to work at it. Thanks to Google's Android Operating System on here. It is serviceable. It will get the job done. However, I cannot enthusiastically recommend it. It will cost you a $125 for the hardware upfront. Data plan is $50 unlimited and there's a $25 voice plan option per month if you would like. Once again, I'm Jessica Dolcourt. This is the AT&T Fusion Go Phone made by Huawei.

AT&T Fusion U8652 - Prepaid - GoPhone Review

The good: The AT&T Fusion GoPhone is an attractive, compact handset for a decent price. It features an unadorned Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS and has Swype.

The bad: Unfortunately, the Fusion has a smallish screen, a dull camera, and a slow processor. It lacks pinch-to-zoom support and a proximity sensor.

The bottom line: The AT&T Fusion is fine if you're a patient soul who doesn't expect much in a handset but wants to make the jump to Android. For everyone else, I suggest you move on.
