Hey there I'm Josh Goldman senior editor with CNET and this look at the Fuji film fine -- -- thirty EXR. Now what makes the ages thirty experts stand out in -- crowded magazine market is its design and controls. But has a good auto mode it's really a better match for someone who's looking for more digital SLR like controls with. Direct access to ISO exposure and AF in white balance and manual and semi manual shooting modes and raw image capture. You also get some handy burst shooting in tracking options -- a very nice EBF and tilting LCD. A hot shoe on top for a flash and the lens is ready for fifteen millimeters filters however all of these things don't mean it's replacement for an SLR. Picture quality and shooting performance are very good for its class but like similar models they're not SLR level. The bad: Getting the best results from the HS30EXR can require a lot of effort and even then its photos might not be good enough for some.
The bottom line: Fujifilm's FinePix HS30EXR is a capable megazoom for those who like the controls of an SLR, but not the expense and weight of one.
