>> Mercedes F700 concept was a rolling laboratory. Basically a futuristic S class powered by a one point eight liter four cylinder. You heard me right. It uses a desoddo [ assumed spelling ] combustion cycle. That means a combination of turbo charging, direct fuel injection and a diesel like compression ratio that aids combustion by using extremely high cylinder pressure while still having spark plugs. Bottom line 238 horsepower and forty four miles per gallon, enough power and really good economy for a really big car. There's a pre-scan technology in the suspension line up. This lets the car read the road ahead with lasers and pre-adjust the suspension before the wheels even encounter an issue. We were also amused by a feature right out of Chrysler Imperial's mid-60's playbook, the rear passengers can slide rotate their seats to face the monitors in the rear. Outside this may have been the most polarizing car at Frankfort with people either eager to buy one or eager to hang on to their current S class if this is what the next one's going to look like. ^M00:01:16 [ Music ]
