>> Hi I'm John Slowenson [assumed spelling] from Webware.com. Apple's latest operating system called Leopard has a slew of new webby features we're big fans of. Here are four that we think people are gonna actually end of using. The first one is called Web Clips. Web Clips lets you take a chunk out of any website and turn it in to widgets using OSX's dashboard. It's only available using Safari. Your new widget will show up on the dashboard where it will update every time there's a change on the website. Another great feature is RSS feeds and mail. If you like reading RSS feeds while away from the Internet connection, you're in luck. Because the new version of the Mail App lets you read and store all your favorite RSS feeds. You can read the messages while offline and even send them to your friends as an e-mail. My third favorite feature is Wikipedia dictionary. There's no way Wikipedia would fit on Leopard's install disk; but you have a full version of it as part of the dictionary application. To search from Wikipedia in Leopard just choose it from the list of sources. Dictionary reformats Wikipedia's page to match the look and feel of the application. And finally, one of my favorite features is web search history. If you're trying to remember the name of a site or pull up a link to show to a friend, you no longer have to open up your browser and dig through its history. Just use Spotlight, OSX's integrated search tool and look up any pages that are in your web history. It works with site names or anything that was written on the page. So the next time you're trying to pull up something written by a particularly snarky commenter, remembering just a snip of what they said can pull up the entire web page.
