First Look at the Samsung PNE8000 plasma with Smart Interaction Video Transcript

Hi, I'm Bridget Carey with CNET TV here at CES 2012, and I'm standing in front of the new Samsung ... 8000 plasma TV. It's a 64 inch model, not 63. That's big as... it fits the size of a 63 inch cabinet space with a squeeze in extra inch in here by making the bezel smaller. It also is gesture control. So you can use your hand just swipe through menu options or even use different gestures to turn the volume up or change channels and it has facial recognition. So everyone in the home has their own profile based on the face it recognizes. There's also a lot of content packed into this baby. You have access to Samsung's Cloud technology. So you could take media from your computer and there's a suite of apps and this TV is also upgrade-able. I'm not talking about software. The hardware is upgrade-able. They call it smart evolution. So you can actually upgrade the hardware in the back here. There's no word yet on pricing or availability but if you look at Samsung's history, we'll probably see this out in the spring. For CNET, I'm Bridget Carey at CES 2012.
