First Look: 2012 MacBook Pro with Retina Display Video Transcript
I'm Dan Ackerman here at WW DC that's the Apple developer's conference with the one really big new hardware announcement that is the new MacBook Pro. At the MacBook Pro with the Retina Display this -- single fifteen inch model. It's it's somewhat in between the MacBook air and the current existing MacBook Pro it's about a thin as the area is -- thicker end of that tapered air but this model is of course. Not tapered Alec all the other Mac -- this also has Intel's new ivy bridge CPUs we've been seeing this on windows left out for couple weeks now. Along with graphics and Nvidia which is the switch from the AMD chips -- seen in previous MacBook pros. As -- solid state only machine and of course it's got that Retina Display a return to 2880 by 18100 that's a lot higher than resolutions and on pretty much any of the laptop the -- top out at 1920. By 1080 I think on some of the biggest -- to the people really appreciate. USB three point oh ports through to them on -- -- -- -- to thunderbolt ports in Houston have one of those. Thunderbolt peripherals sitting around but I think even more important than that. This HDMI output on here we have not seen them in -- -- reports and it's always on my third wish fulfillment list I never thought I'd like to see it. Here it is makes it a lot easier plug this into your monitor your big screen TV your projector anything like that.
