I'm rich brown senior editor for CNET -- gonna take a look at the falcon northwest -- This is -- high -- slim tower gaming PC you might remember that Alienware X 51 from earlier this year that system costs 1999. This one goes for -- point 800 bucks in this configuration starts at 18100. This is a higher end version has over clocked core I seven chip -- the GeForce 6800 GTX graphics card. In addition to being a very fast computer you can see that there's a granite base here in the bottom designed -- -- sort of keep the system stable because it's very slim system and kind of tall. -- and top pennies it's easy to knock over to solve a problem thought northwest is gone for a polished granite -- -- comes in a couple different options. Aesthetically and not really sure about it you might like it I kind of think it looks like an employee of the month award but that overall it does -- do its job here. But for the system itself up as accidents and pretty cool stuff that does not question is if you really want to pay that much for the relatively limited slim tower case. So the furnace isn't as nice and clean it's got the sort of sleek black look to -- overall. Here at the top there's a slot loading Blu-ray drive as those a couple of USP three jacks -- power reset and applauded Jackson's well. Appear in the back you'll see an upside down version of the standard PC layout. The company is -- ports down here digital audio output wireless antenna jacks use -- three ethernet eSATA and -- that analog audio it's. Here in the graphics card to get two dvi jacks HDMI and display port out even though this is slim tower PC it is actually remarkable amount hardware and here. -- see there's a liquid cooling -- connected here to the side panel. Goes you do -- over clocked CPU with a core I 73770. K chip or clocked a four point three gigahertz. There's a standard two terabyte hard drive here -- a solid state drive in room for -- assaults that one if you wanted to course that reject the price of down here you've got -- gigs of memory and appear there's a graphics cards dual led board connected via daughter card. So does finalize -- -- that the system apart from Alienware is not only the water cooling rate also the fact that the power supplies built into the system. And -- X 51 had an external power supply -- -- a kind of giant brick and only be 330 watts of power. Dawkins managed to cram 450 watt power line here so you really don't need to worry about overclocking or at a hang graphics card -- -- -- system. A question of the specialist -- the system aside from the -- -- -- there really is no room for upgrading. The falcon has taken -- -- -- PC concept well beyond -- anyway came up with of course it charges more for that privilege but he also seem to get a lot more power. The question though is how much you wanna pay for this when you can -- say. -- -- dollars more for a system that's actually pretty small but -- used to graphics cards and is otherwise relatively equal authors whose performance. You can find such PC from being here which make us wonder how that -- system. Overall I can recommend someone who has their mind specifically set on a slim tower gaining PC otherwise you can probably get better deal for money and even still have a pretty small test. -- rich -- -- the falcon northwest T.
Falcon Northwest's flagship Mach V gaming PC gets a towering case redesign, and upgrades to the latest components from Intel and Nvidia. We have a few suggestions to make this system truly live up to its boutique price tag, but overall the Mach V delivers on its promise of luxury PC gaming.
Falcon Northwest's new, fixed-configuration FragBox 2 is an overclocked, reasonably priced gaming rig with a small size that invites you to put it pretty much wherever you want.
Falcon Northwest's revamped Talon gaming PC puts its best redesigned foot forward with a strong configuration build around Intel's latest batch of Core i7 CPUs.
Falcon Northwest's FragBox might be the best known small-form-factor gaming PC, but Maingear's X-Cube is currently the most up-to-date. With the latest of everything, if you want a gaming desktop for on-the-road fragging, look no further.
If you can afford it, the Falcon Northwest FragBox 2 will keep you fragging happily for years to come.
If you want a gaming-oriented Intel Core 2 Duo system and you have to have it right away, the Falcon Northwest Mach V pumps out plenty of frames per second but falls behind the faster Dell XPS 700 in other computing tasks
Well-heeled gamers with professional-level application performance needs should look into this statement-making Falcon Northwest Mach V, but you can spend far less and still enjoy top-notch gaming with an older CPU.
Falcon Northwest continues its tradition of building the fastest gaming PCs around. This one comes with Intel's quad-core chip clocked higher than we've ever seen before, and its resulting game performance sets new records. You might want to bolster some of the features on this system, but if it's 3D power you're after, Falcon delivers the strongest system we've seen so far.
Falcon Northwest sent us this PC for an early look at AMD's new FX-62 chip--too early, it turns out. The motherboard it came with won't be the one Falcon Northwest actually sells. But that's OK. Though there's no point in us giving a rating to a product t
In a normal economy, we'd expect that Falcon Northwest's new Core i7 FragBox 2 would wow us with fast performance in a compact case. Instead, the price of this system as configured has been severely undercut by a competitor. An improved warranty takes the edge off somewhat, but the new market reality makes it hard to recommend this PC.
Falcon Northwest Tiki (Core i7 3770K) Review
The good: The Falcon Northwest Tiki innovates the slim-tower gaming PC, jamming more hardware inside than you might have thought possible.
The bad: The granite base isn't for everyone, and the limitations of the slim-tower design seem harsh given the Tiki's high price tag.
The bottom line: We don't recommend the Falcon Northwest Tiki for general-purpose high-end gaming, but this system is your best bet if you want a luxury-priced blend of speed and space savings.
