>> If you have a Facebook account and you also have a BlackBerry, then you need Facebook for BlackBerry. Facebook for BlackBerry is a terrific app that let's you access all of Facebook's core features from your mobile phone. You can always get to the mobile site m.facebook.com from your BlackBerry that you'll find this app much easier and faster to navigate. The interface is clean and familiar. The main window is your activity feed, where you can see when somebody has left you a message or commented on your photo. You can also see the messages and wall posts that you set. Just like Facebook's online version, you can reply from inside the message. There's a ribbon of icons lodged on the top that let you start various tasks. So this icon on the very left is the status screen where you can check in on your friends and update your own status. You can do all the usual stuff, like read, write and reply to all posts and messages. But because the app is integrated with the phone's camera, you can also tag and upload photos stored on the phone. I do have one gripe with the invitation process. That's the plus one icon because you have to know your friend's email address to send them an invitation. There's no dynamic on the spot searching -- yet. Keep in mind that Facebook for BlackBerry only offers core functionality and none of those addictive third party apps. So, there will be no playing of Scrabulous or pairing of sheep for you. An easy way to get Facebook for BlackBerry is to search for it on Facebook, but you can also search for the whole term online, Facebook for BlackBerry. For the apps to fully work it will need the email address on your Facebook account to match the email on your BlackBerry, if it doesn't, it's easy to go into your Facebook account and change the settings.
