>> Lori Grunin: Hi I'm Lori Grunin Senior Editor with CNET and I'm here at CES where Eye Fi announced its second generation pro card: The Eye Fi Pro X2. In any case the last generation of cards had some limitations including capacity because they weren't SDHC and the new version is HDHC so it supports up to 8 gigabytes right now and they've also most importantly moved up to a new radio. Instead of being 802.11G the radio's in 802.11N. That allows them to have greater robustness, lower power consumption on average, as well as a more robust radio signal so it can reach access point and places where you may not have been able to get a signal before and that means that you get faster uploads. It also with this version they've introduced something called endless memory. It tracks what photos its uploaded via the web and when you start running out of memory on the card it will automatically delete the older photos so that you always have room and never have to take the card out. They've also made some changes to their software which this is important because the older version only ran you had to be connected to the web, it was a strictly web based software. Now they have an Adobe air based client so they can do a lot more stuff without being connected to the web and it's much cleaner and moves and operates a lot better. [ Background music ]
