But usually, we?re reading your feedback and answering your questions about things we do here at CNET. Let?s do some of that, shall we? Hey, Leigh? I have some good news for you. Next week, just in time for Earth Day, CNET will premiere a new show called The Green Show ? starring Mark Licea. It?ll be all about environmentally friendly gadgets, greenwashing, eco-tech, and that kind of thing. You?ll love it. Well, actually, Nicholas probably WON?T love it. He writes: I had a review of a new flat panel TV by David Katzmaier come down in my prizefight feed. ? I was quite bothered by David's fixation on the environmental impact of the TV's packaging. ? I come to Cnet to find out about the gadgets, not their packaging. As for David, please forward his resume to Mother Jones Magazine, as that is clearly a journalistic environment he would feel more comfortable in. Oooh, snotty. Actually, the video in question was an Out of the Box video on the Samsung UN46B7000, so it was pretty appropriate to talk about the packaging. It was a little heavy on the eco recommendations, but it might be intended FOR the Green Show in the future. Plus, dude, seriously? Caring about the environment? Not actually a BAD thing. Moving on, some of you were bummed about some CBS corporate synergy that happened recently. Antheny writes: what happened to music.download.com (cnet's music download site). now it just links me to last.fm. a place where I can only STREAM music, not download legally and free. that music site was very good and most of my artists came from there. You can find a post about this at the download.com blog, but basically, yes, music.download.com merged with last.fm about a month ago. It just made sense. But you CAN still find free music downloads at last.fm, in addition to all that streaming music. WAY down at the bottom of the page, under Do More, you?ll find a link to Free Music Downloads. Plus, of course, all those recommendations and streaming stations and other cool stuff. Give it a try? You might like it? Mark writes in with a beef about Top 5. He says: They all seem to be about smart phones. Since the "Top 5 Most Popular Products" seem to be all about phones, why is it called "Most Popular Products"? It really SHOULD be named to "Most Popular smart phones or cell phones". Maybe "Most Popular Products" should include the most popular product from each of the top 5 categories, like most popular Blu-Ray player, most popular TV, etc. Tom feels your pain, Mark. The Most popular products list is an actual, undiluted, scientific representation of what users do on the site. And apparently, all you do is read phone reviews. It?s driving him nuts, too. I passed on the suggestion about the categories, though, and we?ll see what we can do. And now for some AMAZING snail mail. Joe from Honolulu wrote to say this: I was bored on my last trip to Manila so I figured I would do something constructive. I decided to make some patches of my favorite podcast. Before you say it, don?t worry, it was less then a buck a piece. JOE! Look at these patches! These are awesome!! What do you want me to do with these? Is it ok to give them away to listeners? Because ? I think some people are going to want them. Except the BOL one. That?s for me. I?ll try to think of a contest while I wait to hear from Joe. Oh, and yeah ? your stickers are on the way.
