Ep. 996: Where it's the end of an era Video
We love getting (scheduled) visits from fans of The 404, especially when they come with treats for us! Henry Chu aka Charlie Chu aka Tapchus in the chat room stopped by this morning to pick up some stickers and ends up joining us in the studio for the first segment of the show.
It's Wilson's penultimate episode on The 404 Podcast, but his departure just wouldn't feel right unless we let him carry on today about the Apple OS 10.8 Mountain Lion announcement. We'll also reveal Apple's dirty little PR secret while we're on the topic, and of course play a few voicemails from listeners lamenting Wilson's desertion.
The listeners in the chat room this morning want us wish you a happy Star Wars Day, but we're pretty sure you can get beaten up for saying something like that. Instead, we're taking taking our anger out on Wilson's floating head in the studio, dodging blueberries and corn from our neighbors in New Jersey, and of course bringing you silly tech stories of the day.
404 listeners Derrick the Unofficial 404 Photographer and Henry the Unofficial 404 Uncle surprise us in the office today with breakfast! Well, kind of. Chicken feet, anyone?
Caroline McCarthy and Uncle Henry join The 404 today to chat about last weekend's New York Marathon. Congrats to Caroline for finishing her first 26.2-mile race!
"Musician" Rebecca Black and a voicemail from a technologically entitled listener inspire Jeff to create Punch a Tween Day. Check out today's episode of The 404 Podcast for more details on how you can help.
On today's 404 episode, we'll discuss the many ways that you can lose your sexual dignity online. From Bang With Friends to Google Street View to Grindr and OKCupid involuntary flash mobs, use this show as a how not to conduct yourself online.
It's Natali Morris's penultimate episode and National High Five Day! Wilson's back on the show after yesterday's trip to the NY Auto Show, and today we're chewing the beef between Lady Gaga and Weird Al Yankovic and chatting about a 3D porno topping box office records in China, a dispute over Apple's environmental footprint, and a pair of 2D glasses that just make things more natural.
Today is our first day back from CES 2010 in Las Vegas, and we're pretty lucky to return with our sanity (and organs) fully intact.
On today's episode of The 404 Podcast, hosts Jeff Bakalar, Wilson G. Tang, and Justin Yu say a fond farewell to Natali Del Conte Thursdays (for now), take a peek at Chatroulette's new and legit services, and pimp our our ongoing Blackberry sponsorship!
