>> Hi, I'm Kevin Massey from CNET.com. Live from CES 2008, and the CNET Car Tech testing lab. Now to kick us off, we're starting with the Eclipse AVN 6620. This is an all in one after market Car Tech product. It's a GPS navigation system, and a multimedia video and audio receiver. It's a bright, wide seven inch touch screen display, showing maps from Nav Tech. Addresses can be entered using the standard numerical keypad, or we can go back, enter addresses from a points of interest database of eight point three million entries. Now when underway, you can see the maps are pretty clear, very colorful. We have nice building outlines in built up city areas in the United States and North America. We have video, DVD video, and a variety of digital audio playback capabilities. This system can support regular CDs, MP3 discs, WMA, AAC, and it can also be connected to an iPod via an add on module. This system is on sale now. It comes with a price tag of eleven ninety nine, and it's a sure fire way of teching your car out in the after market. The HP Pavilion a6620f makes a decent case for its budget price. We like the design and the built-in digital-audio ports, and if you're on an unbreakable budget, the a6620f will get you through a variety of processes, but we recommend saving up for a system that will give you a more powerful set of components for a negligible price difference.

Eclipse AVN6620 Review
The good: The Eclipse AVN6620 is loaded with features, including a useful built-in GPS navigation system, digital audio and video playback capabilities, and some advanced acoustic tweaking options.
The bad: Its turn-by-turn guidance is not as accurate as some factory-fitted navigation systems. The need for a clunky iPod module can make installation trickier.
The bottom line: The Eclipse AVN6620 is a device for those looking to tech out their car with a single device. Its elegant design, wealth of features and expandability, and the fact that it's easy to use make it a strong contender in the all-in-one in-car device market.
