Hello, everybody. I'm Lyn from CNET. Here to show you guys a Kyocera Plus from Sprint. Now as you can see this is a ragged phone built to satisfy military specs meaning it's dust, shock and slash proof. It can be fully immerse in up to a meter of water for 30 minutes. Also for anyone working in low light conditions like if you're an emergency responder or field operator the device has an extremely bright LED flash light built in. It also has a sprinter direct connect which is a push to talk feature that can work with any direct connect subscriber which can be pretty useful. (Hink?) Eagle to (??) thunder the target has acquired my cookies over. Lyn. It's okay. Just give him the cookie. No. It's not okay. It's a (??) today and you know my name is Pink Eagle over. Now. I know that as a ragged phone, you have to stick with certain static limitations but there are tough phones out there that don't look this (kunky?). Like the Samsung Rugby Smart. Although that device may not be as tough as a dura plus. It definitely looks a lot better. In addition to looking like a rubber brick the dura plus is heavy. It weighs about 6.67 ounces and it's nearly an inch thick. You can barely put it in your jean pocket and I really can't imagine someone using this as their day to day phone. Furthermore there's no camera, no micro SD slot for storage purposes and instead of a 3.5 millimeter headphone jack, it has a head set jack instead. If you're interested the phone will cost you $69.99 after you send a $50 in rebate and sign in to your contract. Again I'm Lyn from CNET bringing you guys the Kyocera Dura Plus.

Kyocera DuraPlus (Sprint) Review
The good: The Kyocera DuraPlus is made tough and its built-in LED flashlight is useful for low-light environments. The Sprint Direct Connect push-to-talk feature works well and call quality is solid.
The bad: The DuraPlus has a look only a mother can love and it could stand to lose a few ounces. It doesn't have a camera, a microSD slot, or a standard 3.5mm headphone jack.
The bottom line: If looks aren't important, and you want a basic rugged phone that can make good calls and withstand being kicked around and dropped underwater, consider the DuraPlus. But be aware: its clunkiness will give your hand a workout.
