>> I'm John Falcone, senior editor at CNET.com. We're here at CES 2009, and we're taking a look at the Dish Network DuoDVR SlingLoaded VIP 922 by EchoStar. Now, that's a really long name for a product, and that's probably because this thing can do so many things. It's a lot like the Dish Network DVRs we've seen in the past, but what's really great about this model is they built a Slingbox into the unit. That's why it's called "SlingLoaded." The advantage there is that it lets you access your live or recorded TV streams anywhere in the world you have a PC, a Mac, or a 3G cell phone. And what's even better is that it won't interfere with what somebody's watching in the living room, like the old Slingboxes used to. Dish also is gonna sell a Wi-Fi TV that you can set up using the same technology. So you can watch one program in the living room; use the Wi-Fi TV in the bedroom or someplace else in the house to watch a different program off of the same DVR. This unit has a totally new remote control. It's got a touch pad remote, just like your laptop. It's coming out in Spring, 2009 from Dish Network and EchoStar.
