>> Hi, I'm Kelly Morrison, director of Download.com. You might use ICQ to chat with friends, but there's actually a lot more you can do with this versatile little chat application. The extras feature lets you add a whole variety of games and other tools to your chatting experience. Today I'm gonna show you around the extras feature of ICQ. To access ICQ extras, just click on the tab in the upper left side of the ICQ interface. A panel will slide out showing all the extras you currently have available. You can download more by clicking a link to the extras center in the top right of the window. ^M00:00:43 [ music ] ^M00:00:48 One cool thing you can do with extras is edit and add your own photos to the ICQ interface. To access this feature, click the camera icon in the customize ICQ category. In the photo editor that appears, add your own photo by clicking the folder icon, then browsing to a photo on your hard disc. The editor lets you adjust the size, center, brightness, and contrast of the photo. Once you click okay, your photo will appear whenever you chat with someone. Click the button in the lower left corner of My Photo, and your photo will upload to the ICQ user directory. ^M00:01:21 [ music ] ^M00:01:26 Greeting cards are another fun way to communicate with your chat buddies. To access the greeting cards feature, click the greeting card button in the tools section, and then choose a category from the left side of the greeting cards window. Finally, click the card you want to send. You can enter a message, and then choose to send it to anybody on your buddy list. ^M00:01:44 [ music ] ^M00:01:48 If none of your chat buddies are available, you might want to try a fun diversion of one of the many games in the extras section. Two of our favorite games are Square Off Gold and Bouncy and Bob. You can find both of these by going to the games section of the extras tab and clicking all. This will lead you to a longer list of games, and you can choose which ones you'd like to have on the default list.
