>> Aside from the big stories, here's a roundup of some other notable cars from the 2007 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. This BMW 335I Cabriole is the first retractable hard top that company has ever made. The front end is also unique to the cab and the utter lack of any external antennas adds to a sleek package when the top is folded down. It is Mitsubishi Prototype X hardly deserves the word prototype. It's very much the next Lacer Evo. This one sports a six speed manumatic, super all wheel control as they call the drive train, and an all new two liter turbo four. And would you believe this is an Accord coupe? The rakish angle on those powerful bulges around the haunches are quite a departure. Honda says their research indicates coupe sales are going to be strong in future years for all makers. So they don't want theirs to have any problem being remembered. The Porsche Cayenne entered its second generation at Detroit with a revised, sleeker front end. The base six-cylinder engine is up 40 horsepower and the zero to 60 runs will be down by a second in that base configuration. Wondering what the next Chrysler 300C will look like? Well maybe like a wagon. This is the new Nassau concept. It's a four-door coupe from one angle, a shooting brake from the other and a strong future hint of the next 300C from both. And while there wasn't a whole lot new about the Maserati Quattro Port itself, there was definitely something new about paying for it. Maserati rolled out 1 point 9 percent financing for 60 months.
