>> Remember when the Acura NSX came out? It was an absolute super car, an amazing piece of engineering, today it would be fairly hard to call that a super car with that little V-6 and those kind of 90 looking lines. Well that could all change and this car behind me is evidence of that. This concept is called the advanced sports concept from Acura, rolling out here at the Detroit show for 2007. They say it gives a very strong indication of the next NSX, let's examine that. The power they say would be a V-10 driving the rear wheels and that would be the first time that a V-10 has ever shown up in any Acura including the NSX, any car they've ever made, this would also be a car that has some very different exterior lines, look how rounded and slippery it looks, compared to the current NSX which still has just too many creases to look contemporary. The top of the car is almost entirely glass, they say the cabin is a glass structure, underneath carbon fiber forms the tub or the body pan off the bottom side of this vehicle. Of course you've got the usual concept car touches like some very thin, probably on approvable LED headlights and rear end taillight treatments, but this does give us an idea of what could be a dramatically fresh and NSX and the opening of a new era for Acura's power with a V-10 or perhaps a V-8 entering their consumer line for the first time. ^M00:01:19 [ Music ]
