I'm Dan Ackman and we are here taking a look at Dell's new Inspiron 11. This is a brand new 11-inch ultra-portable laptop from Dell and rather than competing with someone more high-end 11-inch systems that we've seen recently, this is really more of a direct competition with low cost tablets and phablets. It starts at $349 for an ANT version. You can pay a little bit more and get an Intel version and Dell says you'll also be able to get Intel's new Haswell chips in there which could lead to a very powerful 11-inch system indeed even though they're gonna keep the cost pretty down. The interior frame-- that black, it's got the large touch pad, you'll see more expensive Dell systems that really seems like a good mix of sort of low cost system that looks a little bit more upscale than it actually is. They claimed the battery life is gonna be very long because it has actually a larger battery, a 51-hour battery compared to what you get in some of the other super tiny systems out there. So it'd be very interesting to see how this matches up with some of the low cost Intel Atom based hybrids and tablets and low-end laptops that we've seen recently when this comes out later in the year. I'm Dan Ackman and that was the Dell Inspiron 11.

The Yoga's 13-inch screen can flip all the way around and fold flat on the back, turning the laptop into a tablet. Or, it can stand up on its front edges like a tent (called Tent mode). It can also be used with the keyboard side down and the screen bent back, becoming almost like a tiny tabletop touch-screen all-in-one (Stand mode).
If you need maximum screen size at a minimum price, this basic 17-inch Dell Inspiron 17R is powerful enough for everyday tasks.
